The Stoney Baynard Ruins on Hilton Head Island are known to be quite the eerie place. The plantation itself had been added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1994 and it featured six acres. Stories say that if you dare to visit the ruins at night, you will see a funeral procession for namesake William Baynard pass by. Visitors have claimed to both see and hear the procession take place.
