I was coming home from work about dusk time, as I drove by the cemetery gates, I saw a young boy trying to get out of the cemetery. The gates are locked and padlocked. He looked about 8 but could have been younger. He had dark hair and wore a striped tee shirt from the 80's -- the kind you bought at Sears back then. I have told a friend or two about it and one of them had the same experience. My experience was about 2011 - 2013

Believe it or not....
It was about 11 years ago. I have been doing quite a bit of investigating at that time. A friend informed me of this legend and we decided to take a short trip out there to the location and run a few recorders. Not knowing when the cemetery actually closed, and didn't want to intrude, we decided to walk the grounds a little bit early to see if there were any signs or information on visiting times. This was in the winter and about 5:30 in the evening. The din of the usual 'going home from work' traffic was in the near distance and it was still very much daylight. Like I say, this was more for information gathering than anything, with the plan to go in a little bit later. We heard this noise from the get go - subconsciously at first. It was just in the background with the ambient noise of the late evening hustle and bustle. It continued as we walked further and further to the back of the cemetery. There are houses in the back and at first, in my mind, it could have been someone using some sort of power tool while they worked on a home project but the noise didn't subside. As we made it toward the back side of the cemetery we both simultaneously became aware that the noise was not emanating from the subdivision in the rear but then we could not actually pinpoint where it was actually coming from. I remember the moment we both looked at each other and could see the realization on each other's faces and we were thinking the exact same thing- you got to be joking! Is that it?? Now paying attention to the characteristics of the sound itself, yes that is exactly what it sounds like - a child crying. And about that exact time is when it stopped... And of course with not a single recorder running. I really wasn't expecting much of anything out of this little dry run *let's go through the motions just for the heck of it* investigation in the first place. Lesson learned here--- how hard is it to just turn the recorder on--TURN THE RECORDER ON.
